What are the harmful effects of smoking? Smoking is common among adults as well as adolescents. Most adolescents, adults and elderly adults continue smoking because of the following reasons:

(4) Smoking impairs with the ability of the brain to function efficiently as so people are involved in criminal acts because of this. This may result in death and rape which is one of the ways STD and the more dangerous HIV can be contracted.

It is recommended that any treatment or intervention to help smokers quit the habit should combat both the positive and negative reinforcements mentioned above. Smoking and teens is a subject that has become part of the norm. Whenever you drive past your local high school or college, you will always find youngsters smoking.
